10 Reasons We Don't Use Color Bands on Braces

By Jeffrey Kozlowski | November 2, 2018 | The Koz Blog

Last year we brought you the story about an incredible young man, Ryan Brearley, who has been collecting donations for children and families who are spending their holidays in the hospital.

We were so moved by his passion and drive to make an impact that we partnered with him last year to be a drop-off location for donations. With the help of all our patients, friends, family and many people in the community, we were able to collect boxes and boxes full for Ryan to drop-off at the hospitals. We almost doubled his donation! We were overwhelmed by the generosity of our patients, friends, family and the community! We are thrilled to be partnering with Ryan again to collect donations for these families.

Items needed by the hospitals:

  • Puzzles
  • Books
  • Gift cards for teen patients
  • Coloring books
  • Crayons & Markers
  • Small LEGO sets
  • Audiobooks
  • Fluffy socks
  • Earbuds
  • Makeup kits
  • Small radios
  • Playing cards
  • Barbies
  • Disney princess stuff
  • Squishes
  • Stress balls
  • Magazines
  • Crossword and puzzle books
  • DVD player and DVD’s
  • Baseball caps and knit hats for chemo patients
  • Scented lip balms (these are used to help mitigate the smell of the medicine)
  • NEW THIS YEAR: baby toys that can be washed (rattles, teething toys, etc.)

*Items donated need to be new due to the compromised immunity of the patients.

Donations can be dropped off at any Kozlowski Orthodontics location:
